A matter of evolution
It’s also worth noting that just as humanity evolves and progresses, so do all these other species. In asking why wild animals are coming to cities and urban areas, we also need to ask why humans are doing it.
And the answer is because it’s the next logical step for humankind, but also for animal-kind. We come to cities because they offer us better homes and a better chance to feed ourselves and our family. It’s the same for rodents, opossums, raccoons, snakes, coyotes, ants, and every other animal that’s spotted prowling in the big city.
As humanity has gotten more inventive and crafty with technologies and lifestyles, so too have the wild animals around us.
