Devon Brenner

Brenner leads key initiatives for the university that to support research and outreach at Mississippi State University. Previously, Dr. Brenner was head of the Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education department in the university’s College of Education and an Education Policy Fellow in the office of U.S. Senator Thad Cochran in Washington, D.C. Brenner coordinates the Mississippi Education Policy Fellowship, a state chapter of a national program that trains education leadership to engage in education policy. Her scholarship focuses on rural education policy and practice and literacy teacher education. Brenner is coauthor of Teaching in Rural Places: Thriving in Classroom, Schools, and Communities, a resource for rural teacher education.
