The Feast Of Saint Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated every March 17. It has become an international festival celebrating the Irish culture and heritage. During this day, it is a tradition to wear shamrocks or green clothing and accessories.
According to legend, St. Patrick used a three-leaved shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to the early Irish people. It is also said that there are no snakes in Ireland because St. Patrick drove them all out.
To all the Irish and the Irish-at-heart, a toast to you on St. Patrick’s Day!
May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
